Tasting notes
A very expressive nose: cooked fruit and nuts, candied orange peel, sweet spices, a light smoky edge. The discreet floral touch of the ex-Bourbon cask brings a freshness that opens the nose without altering it.
A palate balanced between fine bitterness and enveloping roundness, without harshness. The attack is broad and generous; the touch of ex-Bourbon softens it and lends volume and suppleness. A hint of dark chocolate on the mid-palate.
A remarkable saline length. Very long persistence on spices, liquorice and tobacco. The finish is taut, long and precise, consistent with the depth of the Oloroso profile. Theme: Harmony.
