The Method

A great whisky is not born of passing time. It is born of the decisions that build it.

What we create

Maison Lineti is a Single Malt creation house. We shape each cuvée as a decision: the choice of malt, the conduct of fermentation, the mastery of distillation, the art of maturation, the precision of blending.

Here, technique is not a backstage matter — it is the subject. We explain what we did, why, and how.

Three keys to reading a cuvée

Every bottle can be read before the first sip. A theme states the intention. A collection states the territory. A technical reference states the matter. Three keys, one same reading, from one cuvée to the next.

The dial

The eight themes

A theme names what the cuvée seeks to provoke, before saying how it gets there. One cuvée, one single theme. It is decided at the final tasting: the finished whisky has the last word.

01 — 08
01/08

Daring·The thrill of daring. Powerful, assertive.

The impact of technical choices

Every letter in the reference names a decision, and every decision leaves an identifiable aromatic imprint. Here is the full reading grid.

D

Distilling

Elegant profile, medium structure, harmonious, pleasant.

P

Pilsen

Fine profile, elegant, light, floral, delicate.

V

Vienna

Round, unctuous, almond, caramel, subtle and indulgent.

M

Munich

Reinforced cereal character, honeyed, gripping, roasted, lightly smoky, structured.

04

The three collections

01

Calibre

The foundation. The distillate in its truth, without artifice. This is where it all begins.

02

Complication

The open laboratory. One technique in full light: fermentation, lees ageing, cold soaking.

03

Grande Complication

The culmination. Carte blanche across the whole cellar, no compromise, one rule only: excellence.

05

The nomenclature

Every cuvée has a technical reference, coding in a single line the choices that shaped it.

[MALT][FERM] - [CASKS]

A hyphen framed by spaces separates the malt and fermentation block from the cask block. The + sign indicates a blend of casks, the > sign a sequential finish.

Reading a cuvée

COMPLICATION N°01 — PC - BRB

52.11% ABV. Pilsen malt (P) for a fine, floral, delicate profile, malolactic fermentation by co-inoculation (C) for a buttery, brioche-like tension, ex-Bourbon cask (BRB) for elegance, cereal and balance. Theme: Intimate.
